Kiko, Mia and the Beach Treasure

On a little island surrounded by blue sea, there was a cozy cave hidden among the rocks. Two little parrots lived there: Kiko, with bright green feathers, and his little sister Mia, with feathers as yellow as the sun.

Every morning, their parents, Fefo and Nina, would spread their big, colorful wings. "We're going fishing for lunch," Fefo would say. "You can play outside with your friends while we're gone," Nina would add with a smile.

Kiko and Mia flew out of the cave and met up with their friends: Coco the little crab and Tuti the little turtle, who were already waiting for them on the white sandy beach.

"Let's play treasure hunt!" suggested Mia, very excited. Everyone agreed: they had to find five colorful shells hidden among the rocks and sand before the sun reached the highest point in the sky.

Kiko found a pink shell quickly, but he noticed that Tuti the little turtle had got stuck between two big rocks and couldn't move forward. "Wait, Tuti needs help!" shouted Kiko, leaving his search for a moment.

The four friends gently pushed the stones together and helped Tuti get out. "Thank you, friends," said Tuti happily. Mia smiled: "Helping each other is more important than winning the game."

They kept searching together, this time sharing every shell they found instead of keeping them for themselves. In the end, they had five beautiful shells: a pink one, a blue one, a white one, a purple one, and a golden one, all together in the middle of a circle of friends.

When the sun began to set, Fefo and Nina flew back with fresh fish to eat. Kiko and Mia told them all about their adventure: the game, helping Tuti, and how they shared every treasure they found.

Now it was nighttime, and in their cozy cave, Kiko and Mia snuggled up close to their parents with full tummies. "Today we learned that helping and sharing is the best treasure," whispered Mia before closing her eyes. And just like that, happy and grateful, the two little parrots fell fast asleep. The End. 🦜🏝️
